Of course. The world will carry on as usual for ever thanks to renewable energy, electric cars, vertical intensive sustainable precision city farming, climate geoengineering, big data, and automation.

Alternatively we can just add population overshoot to the list of problems that we'll ignore until it's too late. It amazes me that this paper wasn't written 40 years ago. Have the population biologists really not thought about how humanity tends to spread like wildfire until now?
