If I don't miss my guess, an overriding question concerning plans to replace coal usage *en grand* with natural gas is it's availability per price per unit as its usage goes up and sources of the gas become more expensive, both energetically and economically, to extract and refine. In other words, peak natural gas. Which of course you've already covered. I just like to remind myself of the onion layers of existential problems facing us.
