Today's theme is Autumn. Before you know it, it will be November grays and wintry days. October is my favorite month.
- Autumn In New York, Billie Holiday's version (1952)
- songs from George Winston's album Autumn (with Autumn scenes)
- Eric Satie's Gymnopedie No.1 (Jacques Loussier version)
- Autumn Leaves, version by Chet Baker and Paul Desmond
Dave,
Good set. Autumn Leaves with Chet Baker made me think of Van Morrison's Autumn themed album Back On Top. In the song When The Leaves Come Falling Down Chet Baker is mentioned:
And as I'm looking at the colour of the leaves, in your hand
As we're listening to Chet Baker on the beach, in the sand
When the leaves come falling down,
Woe in September, when the leaves come falling down
Oh when the leaves come falling down
Yeah in September when the leaves come falling down
Here's the youtube audio of the song -

That whole album was excellent. The piano interlude evokes the same feeling that comes across in the George Winston piece you included.
Hey when winter rolls around consider Thanksgiving from the December, Piano Solos: 20th Anniversary Edition - George Winston.
