Here are the two problems with electric cars:

1. You've got to be well-off to buy one.

2. The cost of electricity is getting so expensive, that having this kind of car doesn't save money.

Here in PA, the cap came off the electric company and they have been raising rates on almost a monthly basis. Gee, hasn't it occurred to anyone that we can no longer afford to heat, cool and light our houses? So if I can't pay the electric bill now, why would I add an electric car to my worries?
