Barry Ritholtz, owner of The Big Picture, author of Bailout Nation and frequent guest of the financial press, commented on the ethics of mortgage modification at National Public Radio (NPR). The story was called Financial Blogger on Ethics of Mortgage Modification. Responding to this characterization, Barry said—
(Financial blogger? Really — after all this time, that’s how I am described?)
I could not resist commenting, so I had to register at The Big Picture. Here's the comment—
Oh, Barry. Financial Blogger.
Over at NPR they know they are important and they know you are not.
You reside in that vast Terra Incognita that lies Outside The Beltway.
It is only on rare occasions that they report Events occurring in that Vast Wasteland.
They do not venture out there themselves. They rely on “local” (means “foreign”) correspondents to see how the Natives are faring.
